BAD SERVICE

I have a Oukitel WP5 Pro phone and the phone stopped charging all of a sudden. So, I sent it in to Tsukuru t/a Oukitel South Africa for repair. Sent it in to them to assess and quote. They phoned me a few days after they received my phone and asked if I wanted to replace my screen as well as there was a chip in the screen. I said no, as it did not interfere with the functions on the phone plus I didn't have the extra cash. They continued with the repair of the Type-C port which was the problem with the phone not charging. They repaired it and I received it back a few days later. Upon receiving my phone back, I noticed the the chip on the left top corner of the screen was gone and upon operating the phone I saw fade spots around the edges of the screen, I also noted a yellow inner halo around the screen and a crack in the top right corner of the screen which limits the swipe functions for the top of the screen. I then sent an email to Tsukuru t/a Oukitel South Africa to tell them about the problems I have picked up. But they say that my phone arrived that way. They sent through a photo of my phone when they received it. And from that photo you can see clearly the chipped top left corner of the screen. So, I sent a further email with photos showing that the screen was replaced and it was faulty and asking for a new screen or replacement phone, else I would need to take it further. To date I have not heard back from them.

Dear Paul,

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any frustration or inconvenience caused during your experience with us.

We would like to clarify that, according to our records, when we received your phone, our team made multiple attempts to contact you about the cracked screen, first by phone and then via WhatsApp when we couldn't reach you. Our technician informed you of the crack and recommended fixing it to prevent further damage, as cracks can spread and eventually affect your phone’s functionality. You responded, "Please leave the screen. I don't have the R650 at the moment. Is it possible to pay later at the end of the month?" Based on your instruction, we did not proceed with the screen repair.

It's important to note that even a small crack in a screen can grow and potentially interfere with touchscreen capabilities over time. While we understand you opted not to repair it at that moment, we tried to make you aware of the potential risks.

We’re sorry that the situation didn’t meet your expectations and welcome further discussion to resolve any remaining concerns you have. Please reach out to us at your convenience, and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Kind regards,
The Oukitel South Africa Team

You replaced my screen and I have photo evidence of it. I even sent an email with the evidence. You can clearly see that the screen was replaced.

Thank you for reaching out, Paul. We take pride in ensuring all repairs are carried out transparently and with full customer consent.

With the utmost respect, we would like to clarify that we initially recommended a screen replacement for your phone; however, our records show that this recommendation was declined by you at the time.

Please know that we never complete repairs without prior consent, as each repair, especially screen replacements, requires both technician's time and financial commitment.

But you did replace my screen. As the per my last email to Mbali, I have photo evidence of that the screen was replace. You can clearly see that from the photos that the crack when received by you was on the top left and it was more of a chip than a crack. And the phone I received the crack is gone and and the new crack is on the opposite side. I never heard of a crack disappering and reappearing in a different place. The only logical reason is that the screen was replaced.
