It is an irrefutable fact that it is far easier to complain than to praise, and to tell the truth I am known to complain at the drop of a hat but in this case I would like to praise and not only praise but to award the “Derick Rosslee Gold Medal for Product and Service” The product or company to which I am referring is Oukitel South Africa (Cellphones and associated products) Being a specification type personality I will spend an exorbitant amount of time comparing specs between brands and since I am no Bill Gates these specs will be measured against each other at a specific price point. I do however also like to try something of the beaten track and will frequently buy non-mainline products. But here is the thing – if there ever was a product line that is more than the sum of its parts it is the Oukitel brand. Between my wife and I we own 2 x Oukitel Phones and an 8 Inch Tablet and as far as I am concerned I reckon it’s the best value for your rand to be found in the good old RS of A. The screens (not-withstanding rather run of the mill specs in our budget phones) are crisp, clear and easy to read or watch YouTube day or night. Battery life is excellent across the board, the icon-derived menus are easily understood and quite intuitive. It does take some time to get used to some of idiosyncrasies such as accessing a previous page in some of the phones but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. The camera(s) are quite good at the price point but will not replace my Sony Camera with interchangeable lenses any time soon but that is not the idea I would think. In conclusion then I would without the shadow of doubt recommend the Oukitel Brand and line of phones – the products are amazing, the after sales service is second to none and for my money the best value for your outlay currently available in the market. So go ahead and give them a try, you will not be disappointed.
