Beware of Ouhout Willowbridge Swarthout Furniture

I purchased two Swarthout dining room tables of 1.4m x 2.0m from Ouhout Willowbridge two years ago in Feb 2013. After 18 months the table tops started warping with individual planks lifting. I approached Ouhout about it recently. They pointed to their 1 year guarantee on the furniture and gave a ridiculously high quotation to fix their poor workmanship. I am even expected to take the tables to them. I pointed out that the one year guarantee is not applicable due to the table top coming loos is as a result of poor workmanship. It is therefore a latent defect, not a guarantee issue. It seems that they manufacture their tables to just outlast the one year guarantee. After the one year period you should expect the table to start warping and coming apart? They then have their T&C to hide behind.<br> <br> I expected a expensive Swarthout table to last longer than 18 months.<br> <br> I would like to warn would-be furniture buyers to stay well clear of Ouhout!!<br>
