Chappy service

On saturday 3rd September I walked into Couch world in Wynberg to buy couches. I was assisted by a gentleman by the name of TK. He was very patient and walked around with me and showed me the different styles they had. After a long 2 hours I finally made my purchase and was assiated by Barbara. I was told I can only get the couches on Monday once the funds had cleared. I was confused as I had used my debit card. And received an incontact notification for the R16155 purchase that had gone through. I waited for Monday and was shocked to receive a call from Barbara informing me that I cannot collect the couches as the funds had not cleared. I then phoned my bank (fnb) to enquire and the funds had been deducted from my account. 10 phone calls later (between myself, fnb, Barbara and standard bank) it was then concluded that the transaction had not gone through as the speed point was offline at the time of purchase. Again another shock. The money was then revised into my account and I was advise to go the store to swipe again. I went back on the 7th (and swiped an amount of R16805 which included delivery fees? and this time waited in the store for the merchant to do the clearance/authorisation immediately. This was done an di went back to my office. Delivery arrangements were made and later in the evening the couches were delivered. I was ecstatic ofcourse. To my horror on Monday morning I woke up with a bank account in excess of R12672. When I logged into my online banking I was shocked to see that both transactions had gone through. Meaning now Orthopedic had taken R32960 from my bank account. I then phoned Barbara to enquire and she told me there's nothing she can do as she doesn't do refunds and that I'd need to liase with the finance department. I referred the matter to my bank, Zee who then communicated with the finance department. I was later informed that the money would be refunded through an EFT and that I should have the funds in my account the following day. Needless to say I'm still waiting. The past 3 days have been a nightmare dealing with the Orthopedic finance ladies. Colleen who answers the phone is very rude and on tuesday when I phoned to enquire about the funds she told me that she doesn't have time to be explaining things or taking queries as she was locking up. Yesterday I was dealing with Sherry and she told me only the CEO can authorise refunds and that she'd give me a call as soon as the CEO steps into the office. Again never received a call. When I phoned in today ensuring I was advised the CEO is off sick and that there is nothing they can do for me . I must wait for him to come back. When I asked about the bank charges incurred I was told by Sherry and Colleen that it's none of their business and I'd have to sort myself out. These ladies are veylru unhelpful and always hang up. All I want is the R32960 to be refunded back into my account so that my account can be in good standing again. And for the couches to be collected as I don't want them anymore. This has left a source taste in my mouth. It's just a pity as I really liked the couches. I am just not getting my money's worth. I just want my money back so I can continue with my life
