Do not buy online from ORMs their website falsely advertise out of stock products

ORMs sold me a R20,000 camera online then mailed to tell me there had been an error with stock and it was no longer available. There was no indication of when it would be in stock and just a cursory apology. There was no offer of an alternative, no offer of a refund, no indication of when the falsely advertised product would be in stock. Despite repeated emails from me, there was no further response. To put it frankly, ORMs are either too stupid to enable stock control on their website, or deliberately deceiving people.

I got my money back by issuing a chargeback via my bank and would recommend that anyone else who falls foul of their false advertising does the same. I can at least console myself with the fact that they should incur a fine from visa for their deception. Hopefully if other dissatisfied customers do the same, they may get a heavier penalty at some point and stop this dishonest practice.

On a positive side, if you can visit the store in person, they're very helpful there and at least you can insist on actually seeing the product you're being sold.
