Do not trust ORYKAS INCONTINANCE UNDERWEAR COMPANY!

"Beware of ORYKAS! (Recently advertised on Face Book). When you receive your order from Orykas, DO NOT OPEN IT! If you do, you are not permitted to return any of the contents you are not satisfied with. You have contaminated the entire parcel by just cutting the bag open. Each item arrives in a zip-lock bag. (Can't imagine why they don't seal the bags). Being an online purchase one cannot check for exact size before purchase. In my case the incontinace pants leaked down the inside of the legs within a minute. No more absorption than a normal pair of pants. The question asked of me was: "Was the underwear properly positioned snugly in the crotch area?" My reply was, "Yes, but if the pants are so movable, what assurance do I have that normal movement will not allow leaks?" (No reply given to that question). I requested that I return all the items I had not used and be given a refund. The reply came: "Our underwear are designed to be worn directly against the skin. For this reason, and in accordance with current hygiene regulations, we can no longer accept returns or exchanges for packs whose packaging has been opened, even if the products have not been worn. Opening just one package makes the entire pack unsuitable for resale....However, if the outer shipping parcel remains completely unopened, we can accept a return. In that case, the integrity of the products can still be guaranteed. If this is the case, please send me a photo of the untouched parcel so I can verify that it has not been opened and can then send you a pre-paid shipping label." PLEASE BE WARNED!" Orykas, you have just lost yourselves massive sales in South Africa. If you had been reasonable with your return policy; if we had been able to negotiate that it was reasonable to try on at least one pair of your pants and return the untouched items and receive a refund, I would be advertising your company to approximately 350 people in my current residence in a Retirement Home, most of whom have incontinance problems. Our "sister" Retirement Home, 5 miles away has another 200 people who would eagerly have heard the news of help available to them. In South Africa, our only help is disposable, very expensive, nappies. How do you envisage anyone being able to open an online purchase without actually opening up the parcel? It cost me a whole month and a half's Disability Grant / pension, because of the exchange rate, to purchase your product and now I may not get a refund? That is a despicable ruling which you would be wise to review. Unless, of course, your products are not what you are advertising them to be and all the write ups are just made up. I believe it is time for Orykas to prove it's integrity. Jackie
