Wonderful, caring, attentive, considerate and professional!

My mother went to the Orchard Lodge step-down facility after having two hip surgeries. She previously had a stroke and has very severe communication issues, and cannot speak at all (but can understand). I was blown away by how attentive and caring the sisters were. They saw that someone different was now under their care and made the most effort to make sure that she understood them, was comfortable and had all she needed. She has not stopped smiling since she arrived (apart from the moments of post-op discomfort). The Physio and OT worked their wonders on a more difficult case than what they were used to and were really friendly toward my Mum, as if she was an old friend.

The garden is beautifully kept and adds such a great energy to the place. The building could do with some maintenance but a paint job is definitely not more important than the needs of the patients. Thank you to all who were involved in making her stay so peaceful. She has thrived under your care and I am so grateful!
