POST OPERATIVE CARE TO PUT YOU BACK IN HOSPITAL

For a so-called post operative facility how upsetting to see the lack of empathy and care our mom received.<br> The staff, with one or two exceptions, were uncommunicative and inefficient in terms of observation, follow up & hygiene.We had to keep checking up on changing soiled sheets/nappies - and this was a lower back wound. We even once found her with food still stuck in her mouth. The attending doctor, lacking empathy, barely had a moment to speak to the patient or the family.There was no urgency when it was patently obvious her condition was deteriorating. We had to insist on an ambulance & the doctor didn't answer our repeated urgent calls - during a weekday! And yet she was rushed to hospital & immediately placed in ICU , where unfortunately she remains today in serious condition - with an infected wound.This is about life or death, not just service, but when we complained to management all we got was sanctimonious apologies & empty words. 2 weeks later, there's been no follow up (not even a call or text) besides removing their comments page from their website as it featured our complaints. How sad,disappointing and ultimately hurtful.Subsequently we've heard other complaints.
