Orchards Lodge Step Down facility - appalling

My mother attended this facility in January 2023. The place was run down and dirty. During load shedding their generator was broken so patients had no electricity. When my mother pressed her button to call the nurse during the night nobody attended to her needs due to no electricity. The room she was promised when she visited initially was not given to her in arrival. On the days that there was electricity the television was not working. The nurses would take more than half an hour to attend to my mother after she had screamed for them to assist her. The physiothe****** was very good but the facilities for physio were appalling. I do not recommend anyone use this facility as it is in desperate need of a renovation. My mother was never offered a cup of tea and the food was a disgrace. Please do not send your loved ones to Orchards Lodge Step Down Facility.
