The words do not exist to describe my recent experience of Opodo’s customer service.

This is a deeply dysfunctional business that I will never deal with again. To book with Opodo is to enter a world of pain, helplessness and disappointment where information is chaotically communicated even if it is accurate (which it wasn’t).

Despite a steady stream of emails (and repeated phone conversations) confirming our flights, I felt unconvinced; less than 24 hours before departure it has now become clear that my booking has vanished and Opodo can no longer get us on the flights as promised.

I have been forced to book with the airline direct, while my money is now trapped within the bowels of this terrible organization; ‘Your refund will be processed within four months’ sounds like the punchline to a very bad joke.

Could be the worst customer experience of my life, and I’ve flown with Alitalia!
