Smoke screen customer service..
Two weeks into buying the car I have had issues with this vehicle, I have sent it into the dealership 3 times already, they have been giving me the run around for the past 5 months and have made many promises to resolve the issue which includes swapping the car out for the exact model and replacing the vehicle with a different Opel model as I have made it clear that I no longer want the vehicle that I was issued upon purchase. Yesterday being the 07th February I had taken the day off to resolve this issue. I sat with the sales manager Andrew Schwulst at about 11 am who was on the phone calling different Williams Hunt Dealerships looking for Mokka X Cosmo to replace my Opel Grandland X. I was told to return to the dealership at 15h00 hours as he could not source the vehicle and would replace the branded courtesy vehicle which I have had for about 2 weeks now, this being the 3rd courtesy vehicle I have been given by Williams Hunt Fourways, as I leave for a holiday to the coast on Sunday. I got to the dealership promptly at 15H00 to be told that the courtesy vehicle that I was to be given had been rammed into a pole by the personnel in the wash bay. He assured me that another courtesy vehicle being the Haval will be brought to me before 16H00 today. Attached is an email I have received stating that there is now no issue with my vehicle and it can be collected, attached is my response as well. Over the past 5 months, I was told that they have to follow the procedure which I respected and assumed that it was being done. The dealer principal himself Mr. David Reid was to lodge a complaint with Opel SA to try and resolve this issue which clearly was not done. Mr. Andrew Schwulst has also mentioned he has been in this industry for the past 24yrs and I am quite amazed that he does not know the legal processes to follow, or so he says. I do believe that the internal process of any business should not affect the customer in any way and this, unfortunately, is not the case with Willaims Hunt Fourways. I have wasted my time on numerous occasions going back and forth to the dealership hoping that the after sales service was legit as well as my effort in assisting them with trying to source a Mokka x cosmo as I was told that they can provide me with another deal on this model with no financial implications. I have requested all documentation with regards to the fault finding and I am engaging with my attorney to find a way forward as I have been more than accommodating, understanding and patient with William Hunt Fourways. I have all communication with regard to the above between myself and the salesperson.
