Pathetic customer service
I purchased a brand new Opel Astra 1.0 in March 2017 from GM motors in Ficksburg before they closed.
In November 2019, after a 45000km service was done by Imperial Bloemfontein my engine light came on when I was traveling long distance. I continued with my journey and on my way back to Bloemfontein my car lost power. I was picked up by the AA on the side of the road on the N8. My entire turbo was then changed and the car was back to normal.
In January 2020, after having put less than 5000km milage on my car, it did the same thing, but this time it was worse than before. Once again, I was picked up by the AA and my car was taken to Bethlehem Auto. From Saturday, 18 January till today I'm left with no car. Opel refuses to provide me with a courtesy vehicle knowing that I am a student who needs to attend University on a daily basis.
I am now told by customer care consultant, Lebo that I can expect to get my car on Monday or Tuesday next week. What is a student supposed to do without a car? Did I buy a car from Opel for it to sit at the garage and me to use my legs?
Furthermore, as I was talking to Lebo and laying my complains forward, he had this laugh a few times which then made me cut the call.
I WILL NEVER EVER EVER BUY A OPEL EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE , if any of my friends, family, and colleagues ever even think about buying a opel I WILL STOP THEM
Opels service is pathetic.
