STAY AWAY FROM OOJAH - REGENT TRAVEL INSURANCE!!

I took out travel insurance with Oojah-Regent for my trip to China. Had to change my flights when I got to China due to sudden surcumstance which cost me an additional R8000, when I got back my luggage was severely damaged. I went to the Emirates help desk but there was no one there. I send Emirates several email to report the damage but never received any feedback.

It took Oojah-Regent since the 4th of January 2018 till the 8th of February 2018 to handle my claim, after I was bumped from one consultant to another. On the 8th of February 2018 they informed me they won't pay out my claim at all.

1. I didn't do enough from my side to report my damaged luggage. So I suppose I had to through a tantrum on the airport to get someone to help me. 2. It's not covered in the policy should I have to take an urgent earlier flight back and have extra expenses.

So typical of insurance companies. You are either always under covered, or not covered because of some fine print.
