I would like to warn members of the Meyerton / Henley on Klip community about my experience with a business advertising as **ONSITE REPAIRS**, after we found their services advertised on Facebook. The adverti*****t appeared on the **Meyerton Henley on Klip Advert** as well as "Midvaal" Facebook groups and was posted by a person using the name **Nick Chalmers**, who appeared to be the owner or person responsible for the business. Based on our experience, I now have concerns about whether this profile and the business representation are genuine. The person who came to our property and dealt with us was **Ronnie Mo***eng**, who presented himself as the technician. ### What happened: We contacted them to repair **three appliances**, and we were also quoted for a **replacement PC board/part for another appliance**. Ronnie came to our property, inspected the appliances and provided a quotation. One of the machines, a top-loader washing machine, required a PC board which he said he needed to collect from his supplier. He also took an appliance, an ice machine with him, supposedly for repair. When the work was supposedly completed, we paid **R4,200 in total**: * **R2,500** for the repairs to 2 of the appliances * **R1,700** for the part that was supposedly being collected * We were subsequently also asked for **R250 via e-wallet**, which we paid by EFT. After Ronnie left, we discovered that **the appliances were still not working**. He then told us that he would return and look at the problem once he had obtained the required part. The following day, while I was not at home, **Ronnie came to the property and stripped internal parts out of the appliance that required the PC board. This was done without my permission or authorisation.** The appliance was left completely dismantled, only the outer shell. It has now been approximately **three weeks**. During this time, there have been numerous messages, calls, promises and assurances that he would return, complete the work and/or return what belongs to us. Despite this, the matter has still not been resolved. Ronnie has now stopped responding to my messages and calls. At this point: ❌ The appliances we paid to have repaired are still not working. ❌ An appliance was dismantled without our permission. ❌ We have not received the part that we paid for. ❌ Money has been paid for work and parts that have not been satisfactorily supp****. ❌ Ronnie is now ignoring our attempts to contact him. We have retained **proof of payment, messages, quotations and other relevant information** relating to this matter. We gave the person concerned **ample opportunity to resolve this privately** before considering further action. We are now considering opening a case with **SAPS** and pursuing the matter through the appropriate legal and consumer channels. ### PLEASE BE CAREFUL I am posting this **as a warning based on our own personal experience**. I am not asking anyone to harass, threaten or contact the individuals involved. I simply want other people in the Meyerton / Henley on Klip area to be aware of our experience before handing over money or allowing anyone to remove or dismantle their appliances. If you are considering using **Onsite Repairs / Ronnie Mo***eng**, I strongly recommend that you first verify the business, the identity of the person you are dealing with, their physical address and references, and do not pay for parts or repairs without proper documentation and confirmation. **This post reflects our experience and the facts as we experienced them.**
