WORST PROPERTY AGENCY EVER

Unfortunately, the stars don't give you the option to NOT mark one... I have to agree with all the other reviewers. I by mistake paid my rent for January 2025 incorrectly without noticing the mistake. So on the 4th of February I receive a very threatening mail to say my account is in arrears and I owe them an X amount of money. My logic told me that if I take the amount that was originally due and subtract the amount I already paid, the balance needs to be paid over then I will be on a zero balance. Oh no!!! Within less than 5 hours, I received another mail and this time with a letter of demand attached. But I have paid the amount (according to my calculations). This morning I received another very threatening mail to remind me that I still owe them an X amount, but now also added to that statement are all the "correspondence" sent to remind me of being in arrears. I have stayed in this rental property for 8 months and HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE OR DID NOT PAY THE FULL AMOUNT DUE...

The lady at the office in CT is not very friendly or helpful and I don't think she even took the time to read the mail that I sent after receiving the first reminder.

Then, as my contract is expiring in 4 months, I requested the agency in January to please inform the landlord that I will give 2 months notice as I could find another rental property more suited to what I need. Listen to this... the answer was a definite NO!!! "You will be liable for the cancellation fees (R15 000 as well as the admin fees for cancellation, 3 months deposit and then the landlord can keep my deposit". How absolutely ludicrous!!!!! And this after i was advised by one of the people at the office that I can move out sooner, I just need to give 2 months notice...

Whenever I need to do business again with either rental or purchasing another property, I will stay so far away from this agency.
