Only Realty Holdings

We app**** for a property as a joint application, and the application specifically provided an opportunity to add additional information. I clearly disclosed upfront that my husband had only been employed for approximately six months and therefore has a low credit score.

I also indicated that I have a stronger, established credit profile. The reason for disclosing this it is because they charge R300 to vett

Despite this, my husband's profile was vetted and the application was provisionally declined based on his information, before my profile was assessed. And I must pay another R300 so they can vett me

My concern is simple: why offer a joint application and an opportunity to provide additional information if that information is not properly considered before vetting and making a provisional decision? Why vett the person I specifically said has a low credit score?

Had my profile been assessed first or together with my husband's, the outcome may have been different. In fact, there may not even have been a need to incur the additional R300 vetting cost if my profile could have supported the joint application.

I feel the process was unfair and that the information I provided upfront was not properly considered.

I hope Only Realty reviews how joint applications are handled so that applicants are assessed fairly and in their entirety.

If anyone is looking at using them, just know what you will be dealing with.
