Long lead time in delivery from Onlime.co.za

It took seven weeks for the novelty gift item ordered online from Onlime.co.za to arrive. I had to follow up numerous times, with often a slow response, and on occasion over a week waiting for a reply. They were apologetic about the delay, blaming it on the time of year, being near Christmas but I don't think ordering something on 14 November can be blamed on Christmas demands. They did also say that they would, if necessary, send another one in the new year if it did not arrive. This was not acceptable as it was ordered as a Christmas gift. Apparently, the item had to be sent from overseas, before being rerouted within SA. There was no notification to this effect on placing the order. I was later promised that it would be delivered within 15-20 which would have taken it to early December. I finally received the parcel on 3 January. So, if ordering from this business allow for a 6 to 8-week lead time in delivery.
