ONE-TACH CONSTRUCTION NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

One-Tach deserve a -10 stars! I am writing to report my devastating experience with One-Tach Construction. I have lost R555,000 of my pension money and am left with an unfinished house and no funds to complete it. This is a clear case of a building contractor taking advantage of an elderly person. Mr Dexter Patric Msamba requested a deposit to be pd a.s.a.p to secure material prices. On July 31, 2024, I paid a deposit of R525,000 for the house and another R30,000 for a Wendy hut for on-site material storage. Mr. Msamba committed to completing the house by the end of October 2024. Ten months has passed, and my house is not built. Dexter Msamba has repeatedly delayed the project, I can provide a list of over 25 excuses. He insisted on building an unnecessary Wendy house first, despite a friend's investigation revealing he had previously told another client he would rent a container. He then requested a *****ulent R540,000 for foundation changes that an independent engineer's report confirmed were unnecessary. Work has now been halted, and Mr. Msamba only offers to build the house to roof level—which includes only the foundation, side panels, windows, and doors—for the R555,000 that I have already paid. I believe his intention was always to stop at this stage and demand more money, leaving me with a worthless, unfinished structure. I am a pensioner with a limited income. I have no additional funds to complete the house and am currently paying rent and storage fees for my furniture, which has resulted in over R100,000 in damages. This experience has caused immense emotional distress and has prevented me from rebuilding my life and starting my home-cooked meal business. I've got prove of a complaint from another elderly woman who experienced the exact same issue with Dexter Msamba in 2020. He also left her house unfinished at roof level. This is not an isolated incident; it's a pattern of ********* behaviour.
