Onedealaday is not to be trusted

I have been battling to return a cordless portable vacuum cleaner since 31 January 2024.

My first correspondence was by email, but I was directed to a WhatsApp number instead of being able to correspond by email.

My first message by WhatsApp on 31 January:

"Good day. I ordered a Wireless Vacuum Cleaner which was delivered yesterday. The invoice no is INV- 792628 and the Order ID is 792628. I have found it to be an inferior product: the suction is so poor that most of what I am trying to clean is not removed. Whenever I pause the suction process the content of the cylinder pours out of the nozzle onto the surface I am trying to clean. I also see that there is a small round rubbery disk in the cylinder which is loose and I am not sure what its function is. I see there are cleaning instructions which I will follow to clean the device. I would like to request a refund. how do I return the article? The shipping fee to my home was R75 and if I have to pay that again to return it it will be the amount of the article itself! I am very disappointed as it is my first order from One Deal a Day. I had a WA message last week saying that the article would be collected, but no further info. It would also have been collected some time ago on a Thursday, but no luck. I then I received instructions on what should be included with the returned product, but no further news. I wonder if anything is going to happen at all????
