On the 18th of December 2017, I requested that my One to one contract be converted to a prepaid number thus cancelling the standing contract. I was told that it would take a month for the process to be completed. I then enquired on the 19th of January 2018 if the conversion to prepaid had been effected because the line was still active. One to one apologized for the error as the conversion was not effected. After numerous calls the number was finally deactivated on the 24th of January 2018. One to one reassured me that this would only take 24 to 48 hours and then my number would be on the prepaid system. To cut a long story short, my number is still inactive from the 24th of January till current. This morning according Marvin a supervisor working at One to one, I was told to be understanding as this was out of One to One's control and the blame lies totally on the service provider which is MTN. All i need is for my number to be activated so that now I can port it to a network that is more capable of providing a paid service. As we all know that everybody is quick to debit ones account and take your money but unable to provide a good service.
