One Day A Deal - Thermometer doesn't work

I have purchased an infrared thermometer from One Deal A Day which arrived around 19 December. I tried multiple new batteries and the thermometer just doesn't work. I have sent numerous website messages and emails but there is no response. From a consumer perspective, I am pretty sure, I am entitled to get what I paid for....a working thermometer. I am currently in dire need of this item to be working and am let down so badly. This is not the first time though. My 1st purchased last year from them was a device to trap mosquitos. The fan doesn't work and nozzles just swarm around it. I had the similar experience in complaints. No response. Please be aware of this!!!
