Software **** One Cloud, a reseller using the SELL SA platform
I purchased what I was reassured would be a legal version of CadLink from One Cloud, a reseller using the SELL SA platform for their business. It was confirmed that I would purchase the program with an authentication code. It would be a simple matter of downloading the software and using the code for the software to work. This has not been the case. The software is clearly a pirated version, requiring me to disable my anti-virus in order to allow a "technician" (someone I don't know, who has no legal credentials) access to my PC in order to install a patch to enable the software to work. I refused to do this. Eventually, against my better judgement, under guidance of the reseller, I installed the patch. I was advised to never update the program under any circumstances. That is strange advice. As soon as I restart the PC, my anti-virus kicks the patch out. Clearly this is pirated software and I am the victim of a ****. As a pensioner, I do not have money to waste. I have requested a refund. Initially the reseller agreed to refund, but when I queried the non-deposit, I was told it was not going to happen because I had refused support for the installation. If this was legal software as it is punted to be, no remote on line intervention should be required. The seller refuses to refund the money and does not deny that the software is pirated.
