Once upon a time - Goblins Cove Venue - DISASTER!

<p>Goblins Cove – Wedding Disaster</p> <p>Look, this is by far one of the most beautiful serene places I’ve seen in a long time. This was the place that I wanted to get married at, the place where I wanted to start my life with the best person I have EVER met.</p> <p>Unfortunately, Jaco ***ner) and Ilze (Coordinator & Wife) made this experience horrific for us.</p> <p>Apart from the numerous emails back and forth for wedding quotations, I asked Ilze to phone me to discuss the matter in depth but she never responded to my request. <br />I then phoned Jaco, the owner, but he was very unprofessional, and said that he must take another call and will phone me back within two minutes. He never did.</p> <p>I eventually made an appointment with Ilze to go and see her today 21/03/2017 to get a better look and feel of the planning, ask all needed questions, and pay our deposit.</p> <p>Ilze however, send me an email a day or so back, to inform me that she has personal matters to attend to, and that Jaco will be at the venue to assist.</p> <p>When we drove all the way from Pretoria East to Hekpoort this morning (21/03/2017) at 08h00 – as discussed with Ilze – the gates were still locked. – After numerous phone calls, 35 minutes later, someone came to open the gates for us.</p> <p>• We were not greeted in a friendly or professional manner,</p> <p>• Jaco had no idea that we had an appointment and had some sort of attitude towards us and looked irritated by us.</p> <p>• I told him that this is the place I wanted to get married at, but the way that we’ve been treated, is leaving a sour taste in my mount. He rudely interrupted me, saying, “Okey, to make it easier, we are not doing your wedding, okay?” I tried to explain, however, he would not listen and were extremely rude!</p> <p>• I eventually burst out into tears, and after he told us once again that they won’t do the wedding, I told my fiance to leave it so we can just leave. – My requests were not even that of a regular bride! It is a small wedding, with only 20 of our close friends. I did not want extra decor, no PA system, no draping, no lights, no NOTHING except tables with rose centerpieces.</p> <p>I was looking forward to my special day at this once lovely place, BUT, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND “ONCE UPON A TIME – GOBLINS COVE” TO ANYONE! Not even for lunch!</p> <p>– The owner Jaco and Ilze are two of the most unprofessional people I came across in a while.</p> <p>If I could give this place a 0-star rating, I would.</p>
