*****ulent transaction by OnAir TV
On 05 February 2025, Onair TV delivered a DSTV decoder to me and advised that, after connecting, I should contact DSTV customer service to activate the IUC Number. On 11 February 2025, I contacted DSTV, who informed me that the DSTV had already been activated by someone named Lucky Sibiya.
I attempted to contact On Air TV on 15 February 2025, but after being on hold for 52 minutes, I disconnected the call. I then wrote them a letter informing them that they had tried to sell me a DSTV decoder that was already activated by Lucky Sibiya. Denver Small responded, stating that they would speak to DSTV customer service to have it activated in my name.
I responded, advising that I no longer required the DSTV decoder since it was already allocated to someone else. They then informed me that I had to pay the settlement amount because the 7-day cooling-off period had passed.
How can they sell a decoder that is already activated by someone else and then threaten me to pay the settlement amount? Isn't this outright *****? I would warn anyone using their service to be cautious, or they might fall into the same trap.
