Sold product under false pretence

My dad was offered a DSTV stream under false pretences. He thought it was a DSTV decoder but it was a DSTV stream

Upon delivery he called the guy who sold him and told him that his area doesn’t have Wi-Fi for this device. The guy ended up not taking his calls.

I called on air, with my dad, on the 29th of April to cancel this product. They advised that the cancellation fee was R400 and they will arrange to collect the device, I paid the money and the device wasn’t collected and no communication was received. On the 8th of May I called again and they said the device will be collected by the 13th of May. The device is still here and I can see they just want to debit my father’s account although we communicated and paid the cancellation fee.

It has been over 2 weeks and the device is still with us and they’ve accepted the cancellation fee but we don’t have a cancellation letter. They are very quick to deliver these products but delay when they’re supposed to cancel the contracts.
