Pay back grandmother’s money.

In 2024, ONAIR TV told my grandma that they would sell and install a DSTV for her. They never showed up but they kept taking her money from her account, this went on for a year. One time my grandma went to the bank to ask them to stop Onair from taking her money, and the bank called Onair and told them. They reversed that month’s payment and then they took it again after a few days.

I then visited my grandma and she told me about this ordeal. I wrote an email to Onair but they ignored me. I wrote a review on HELLOPETER in October 2025 and after a few days, they called my grandmother and did exactly what I asked them - to cancel the subscription.

Then my grandma asked me about her money. I started emailing Onair TV, asking them to refund my grandma. They kept transferring me to different departments and I was patient enough to keep emailing and sending them all the information that they wanted. They turned when they suddenly wanted my grandma to get a lawyer, they started telling me about POPIA. It didn't make sense because I wasn't asking for any information, in fact, I was giving them information. They told me about getting a power of attorney. All the fuss is just too much, they didn't go this far when they were taking my grandma’s money. They even asked me how much they owed my grandma, I was angry because they are the ones who took the money, so they should know but I still went to the bank with my grandma, and we got the bank statements and I calculated all the money they took. The total amount is R2203.

I wrote an email to them telling them how much is owed to my grandma, and I cc'd my grandma on the email. They ignored my emails until I wrote another review on Hellopeter. Then they responded and Jamie (onair employee) told me that there in no debit that went through on my grandma’s account.

I had to get my eyes tested to look at the bank statements again and yes, they took my grandma’s money for a year (from October 2024 to October 2025). I asked Jamie if he wanted me to send him the bank statements and he ignored me.

My grandmother can't afford a lawyer but it is clear that Onair TV targets vulnerable adults and ****s them. All I am asking for is for Onair TV to refund my grandma.

You can't tell me that no debit went off, go back on your books, go as far back as 2*** October. You only canceled the subscription on the 4th of November 2025, and all that other time you were taking my grandma’s money.

This whole thing is wrong and unfair. To all the grandkids out there, please check on your grandparents, the world has companies like Onair TV and they’re cruel. They will sell you a non-existent product, take your money, and make unnecessary demands when you want your money back.
