Onair Tv
Onair Tv used a profile as multichoice Dstv to sell a product of multichoice telephonically beginning of last month. I had previously been contacted by multichoice for a package for being a long-standing good customer for a free package with reduction of monthly fixed premium. I was phoned by a lady beginning of June 2010 that I quality for a multichoice package one explorer of r139pm which I brought to her attention that why the sudden change of free package to this new one of R139pm for the explorer to view two channels and record another channel. She told me that the previous offer changed to this new package she gave me of multichoice that they will install it freely for me. After agreeing to the supposedly new offer from multichoice she then told me that she will give me another explore for the same amount but I told her that I don’t have two houses that I can only use it in case I go to Ghana. She went on to say that I could us it in Ghana and install it, but it won’t be free. This means that I must pay R278pm for the 2 explorers for 24 months with a fixed premium. I asked her the deduction should be added to my previous multichoice account which is deducted on the 18th of every month, however she told me that it cannot be done rather on another date. I argued that why is it this way and she said that its because it is a new package from multichoice. She then told me that she will send a message with the contract details after 24 hours for me to forward it to the bank to approve the debt order along with the R278 debit order. I showed the bank the message and they said they couldn’t view it on their systems for the debit order to go through. I therefore phoned the number I received to inform them that the bank needs the written contract from them, but I still haven’t received anything up until now. The dstv technicians informed me came to install the decoder then I asked them to put the other decoder in my drawer since I taking to Ghana it then I was told that they had install the 2nd decoder because I cant use one decoder to recode or view so they install the second one in the bedroom for the other channels to work. I phoned the sales department about the contract details and to get clarity on the twist in their package and I still haven’t received any feedback. I got a phone call this morning around 8:30 and the lady was from multichoice to offer me the old package they promised me last year or 2. I then queried about this change of the new package that was brought to me by multichoice, it was then I heard this onair tv which sells dstv like Game. I explained everything to her, and she said it’s not from multichoice. She then gave me onair tv number and then she put me through to their sales department. I couldn’t get through 1st so I called later and the person who answered ended to call after hearing my complaint. I then phoned dstv and they gave me a multichoice complaint department and there I got to know that onair tv sells their products, but they do not deal directly with them and that it was trick for me buy the product. They said that I had to pay and increment of R960 from the effect of July which has been rectified. She then took my details and said that I’d must pay R740+ R95 extra for the new package which they offered me. I don’t have money for the annual increment. What bothered me the most was the fact that they got a hold of all my details from multichoice and knew my name. I asked them to come take back their package, but they refused and said that it has already been installed and I can’t do anything about this because I am not willing to pay for this. This serves as a cancellation of the ********** contract I received from Onair Tv.
