OnAir DSTV is a ****
In February 2020 I got contacted by an agent from OnAir tv offering me a extra decoder at R160.00 linked to my existing DSTV account, saying I will only pay R160.00 extra on my existing DSTV package over 24 months. I couldn't understand how this could be done since my other home was in a different province, but the gentlemen convinced me they would go to my home and install it there and that from my R925.00 monthly DSTV installment I will just pay an extra R160.00. It sound like a very good offer and even though my finances were stretched I felt this was a very good offer to be missed. Indeed they went to my home and install the decoder and activated it on a DSTV premium package and I didn't suspect anything wrong since my existing package was a premium and I thought indeed they kept their words for two premium package for the price of one with an extra R160.00 for the device. I have heard before loyal DSTV customers who have been offered this kind of offer due to their loyalty to DSTV and I thought it was my turn for DSTV to acknowledge my loyalty and since it was towards my birthday everything made sense. At the beginning of April when I have to pay my monthly DSTV subscription I was shocked find out I have to pay an amount of R1406.42. I contacted DSTV since I thought OnAir was a company subcontracted with them to do the installations for this offer and DSTV referred me to OnAir. I expressed my dissatisfaction to this OnAir company and I told them I was lured under false pretense. I asked for a call recording and I was promised I would get it with 72 hours and it's been well over a month now and I am still waiting for the promised call recording and now they have started debiting my account.Normally I don't fall for these kind of ****s and I curse the day I picked up that annoying phone call. I will do everything possible to challenge the ****.
