OnAir cannot be trusted with their dstv decoder offering, it is a ****
This company called to sell me a multichoice ultra explora decoder. The caller told me I would be making a saving compared to what I am currently paying DSTV and we can call dstv to confirm the final amount I would be paying when they are doing the installation. I was also told that I would have 7 days to cancel the contract if I changed my mind. The decoder was delivered within the 7 days but there was no installer allocated within that period. I opened the decoder on the 7th day and called dstv to confirm whether my instalments will be reduced, should I decide to take the offer from OnAir. I was told that my instalment would not decrease and that I would be paying additional amount for that decoder. I immediately sent OnAir an email to cancel the agreement. OnAir told me I would have to pay R350 for the unsealed decoder and R150 for cancellation. I requested for a copy of the audio of our call but they refused that they have listened to the audio and that their version is correct and that they would not be able to share the audio with me due to POPI act. I told them the very same POPI act was in place when they called to sell the product and told me that our conversation was being recorded and could be shared at my request.
They still refused to share the audio and insist on me paying the amount. I refuse to pay for a product which was sold on lies
