In May of 2016 I was contacted by an agent from OnAir wanting to sell me an Explora with all the bells & whistles. I clearly stated to the agent that I am actually way out on a farm in the Southern Freestate and I asked whether they will install it that far our out. The reply was "we install anyewhere in the country sir". That answer actually made me exited and agreed to the transaction. Within about a week my device was delivered (again impressive) and that was where my problems started.
The technical department will contact me and tell me the name of the accredited installer that was instructed to do installation. That installer then would call me and when he finds out where I am the popular response from him/them would be "noooooo sir we cannot travel that far for installation" (I as contacted by 3 installers as I would after that contact OnAir Technical department) All I got was promises from them and then it all went dead.
I was of course still paying monthly instalments while the device was still in the box it came in. After paying for over a year I decided to tell OnAir that I am STOPPING my monthly payments until installation was done. Obviously then they would threaten me with Collection agencies etc. and everytime I would explain to the people at collection agency the whole scenario and they would request all that information in an email to them. Then it would be quiet for a few months and the sms's and threats would start again.
In anuary 2019 I decided to contact OnAir via their website and Keenan Gertze (Customer agent) tried his utmost to resolve this and eventually he got them to make a decision to rather collect the device from me, cancel the whole transaction ad refund me the monies I have paid with the interest involved.
GREAT NOW WE ARE GETTING SOMEWHERE......NOT to be.! The device were picked up by couriers....I changed my banking details with FINANCE department and 2 weeks later I actually phone Billing department and the change in banking details were confirmed to me. According to Billing/Finance dept. the refund were processed on 20 June 2019 and it is now 24 July 2019 and no payment has reached my bank account. n further investigation on their part it appears the refund was done to the OLD bank account (account being closed cannot be used). Logically if a closed account was used the money will automatically be returned to the Institutions bank account. The only answer I get from OnAir is that "the refund was done and now my emails are being ignored. This gives the impression that the staff there at OnAir is *********** OR no proper management. THINK TWICE BEFORE ENTERING INTO BUSINESS WIT ONAIR.
