A shockingly dishonest, *****ulent, and completely misleading service.

It has been almost a year since I first raised this issue, and to date, nothing has been resolved. Despite receiving a paid-up letter confirming that my contract has ended and being assured multiple times by your finance department that the debit order would be stopped, OnAir TV continues to *******ly debit my account every month. I have contacted your offices on several occasions, and every time I am met with empty promises and false assurances that the matter is being handled. This kind of conduct is not only unprofessional but ********* and amounts to consumer *****. At this point, it is clear that this is no longer a service issue but a deliberate act of deception against consumers. OnAir TV’s continued debiting of my account after contract termination and confirmation of payment in full is a violation of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). I demand the following with immediate effect: Immediate cancellation and termination of any debit orders linked to my account. A full refund of all unauthorized debits made after the paid-up letter was issued. A written confirmation that the matter has been resolved permanently. If this is not addressed urgently, I will have no choice but to report OnAir TV to the National Consumer Commission and other relevant consumer protection authorities for investigation. This behaviour cannot be allowed to continue — South African consumers deserve transparency and integrity from service providers.

Reviewer Update
OnAir TV Team, Your response dated 14 November 2025 indicated that the matter had been “escalated” and that I should expect a “speedy resolution.” Despite this, you have again debited my account today, even though I have repeatedly notified you that the contract is fully paid up and that all debit orders were meant to be stopped. This continued unauthorised debiting is unacceptable and constitutes *****ulent and ******** conduct under South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act. I have given OnAir TV ample time and numerous opportunities to correct this matter, yet the issue persists with no action from your side. I now require the following immediately:
  1. Immediate reversal of the debit order taken today.
  2. A full refund of all unauthorised debits made after the contract was confirmed as paid up.
  3. Written confirmation that the debit order has been permanently cancelled.
  4. A clear explanation as to why OnAir TV continues to debit customers after contracts have ended and after written confirmation has been issued.
If this matter is not resolved within 48 hours, I will proceed to file a formal complaint with the National Consumer Commission, as well as the Consumer Goods & Services Ombud, and will submit all correspondence as proof of ongoing non-compliance. OnAir TV cannot continue exploiting consumers with false promises, delays, and unauthorized debits. I expect immediate action.
