My husband and I visited On The Rocks restaurant last night Sat 30th May 2015. This is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant. My husband ordered a brie and fig in phyllo pastry starter - this came barely warm and the phyllo pastry was soft instead of the light and crispy texture it should be. It was sent back. It came back warmer but still no sign of crispy pastry. I ordered muscles in a gorgonzola and pine nut sauce. This too was barely warm and was sent back. It came back warmer but still not hot. The muscles were OK but the sauce was too thick and gloopy, not a nice thin tasty sauce I was expecting. Our mains - a medium cooked fillet arrived for my husband cold and was again sent back. It returned warmer! I had the stuffed chicken breast which was cooked very well but again barely warm. I did not send it back, if it was microwaved it would have returned dry and over cooked. A lady did come and apologise to us, she did not introduce herself, she explained some of the main was served cold ie the cauli puree the fillet was served on! When our bill arrived we were told the dessert was on the house! Our night out was a disaster and I could have cooked better myself
