Do not recommend them for young & female customers
Purchase from this dealership at your own risk. My 1-star rating is strictly because I like my car, but the customer service at Omoda Jaecoo Cape Town has been disgraceful. Nothing but arrogance, lies and no remorse.
I purchased my vehicle on 10 July and only received my physical plates and licence disc on 20 August - over a month late, and only after I formally reported them to MIOSA, issued a formal notice of intent to sue, and escalated the matter to Chery Head Office.
During this ordeal, I discovered my brand-new car was mistakenly registered under someone else’s personal details, my spare key was withheld for weeks, and a delayed trade-in settlement payment to ABSA resulted in a refund owed to me which they still refuse to reimburse. I was told 12 August to send proof of ABSA not reimbursing the full amount and proof of banking details. They said they will escalate payment. But 20 August they sending me another message asking for proof . So they b basically told me they’ll escalate so that I just leave the dealership. When I escalated these issues, the salesperson retaliated by refusing to assist because his ego was bruised that I spoke to management.
It is deeply hypocritical for this brand to sponsor women’s road races for public PR while mistreating young female customers so egregiously behind closed doors.
You would swear this branch opened yesterday with zero understanding of how to run a professional dealership. I strongly advise young, female buyers to take their hard-earned money elsewhere.
