Terrible after "auction " service with no return phone calls and still no return of stock consigned to them
Over 1 yr ago I consigned a number of items for an auction to provenance auction house run by Warren Scheuer, who now heads up OMNI. Auctioneers. After all but 3 items actually going unsold on the day of the auction, I was later told that only half of the items were sold ( even though I attended the auction and documented every sale and price) so was paid for only those items. Expecting that the remaining items would feature again on a future sale, I was surprised to get a notification that Provenance would be closing their doors but that all items were safely stored. Since OMNI opened their doors this year I have been leaving messages and my husband has on numerous occasions stopped in to meet with Warren to ask if I could collect my goods, and after I think almost 50 calls, I still haven't had a return call from him, neither has my husband, nor any response to his emails. This is tantamount to theft! And this is over a period of over 5-6 months. I would just like my items consigned back and the decency of a return call. I would never as a business close my doors and not communicate with my clients re their stock which was in my possession.
