Who Ombudsman an Ombudsman

I lodged a complaint with the Motor Industry Ombudsman against a dealer who imposed fees up front for services he did not provide. He acknowledged defaulting, but refused refund.

It took more than 12 months and repeated reminders before the Ombudsman responded and ruled that the dealer was entitled to keep the payment because the dealer ”...gave you a discount ” A discount on something not received? What kind of logic is that?!

The ombudsman then went further and stated that all dealers impose these fees over and above the advertised price, nonsence and totally devoid of truth.

To add insult to injury, all subsequent efforts to communicate with the Motor Industry Federation and their Ombudsman were ignore. Claims elapse after 3 years, and I have less tha 6 months left.

His ruling is highly questionable, but it also compromises my chances to seek other legal advice. Who hold an ombudsman accountable for his ruling?
