Isuzu 2011 Bakkie complaints
I bought a second hand Isuzu 2011 model with 148 000km on the clock from Cape Crew Cars also trading under Chana Parow on the 20th September 2019. 4 Days later on the 24th September 2019 the bakkie’s clutch started slipping. Dealer tried to fix it the first time, no luck. Went back second time and we demanded a new clutch, Chana Cape Cars tried to claim the repair thru our car insurance. The assessor refused to pay out as there was a seal that has been damaged in the gearbox causing the oil to leak on the clutch. This happens thru wear and tear. The dealer kept on saying the clutch was replaced two months ago by Toyota in Robertson, and when I asked why the bakkie does not go back no answer was given. I contacted Toyota in Robertson just to find out the bakkie was there indeed but back in February 2019! They had everything on record, the owner JC Pretorius was there himself with his name on the job card. Toyota only gave 1 months guarantee on the new clutch they fitted as JC insisted, they fix the clutch with a after market clutch no original clutch. That’s why the 1-month guarantee. 3000km has been driven with the bakkie from February 2019 till I bought the bakkie in September 2019, I drove 150km and now they want to claim that I am to blame for the clutch breaking. The dealer said they will fix it, after fixing it they refused to release the bakkie and demanded payment of R11 000. Numerous unanswered calls were made with no luck. After refusing to pay for the repair the cost was reduced to R8 000. The consumer act stipulated 30 days unlimited km and 6 months guarantee, the dealer still has the bakkie for almost 5 moths now! On the 11 October 2019 I contacted MFC ref ***, two weeks before the first instalment would go off to cancel the deal. This was done by email and over the phone. I made it clear I do not want the vehicle. Every month they still trying to deduct the instalment. I have reversed the debit order every month so far. On the 16 October 2019 I reported the case to the Motor Industry Ombudsman ref 361089/AS. After numerous calls and mails no correspondence from their side. The call centre is very rude and the service is shocking. They just tell us they are busy with it.
Crm (Consumer Relationship Management) ref *** D Moilwa still waiting This has been going on so long! This is really ridiculous
