MOTOR INDUSTRY OMBUDSMAN IS A WASTE OF TIME

. In October 2022 I heard winding noise coming from the left from wheel. I took it to Suzuki. Upon checking the vehicle they told me that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. At that time the mileage on the vehicle was way below 40 000KM. As a lay person not an expert on cars, I relaxed and trusted their assessment. Around October this year(2023), I heard that that sound has gotten louder. I took the vehicle to Suzuki upon checking the vehicle, they told me that the thrush bearing was broken. At that time the mileage on the vehicle was about 38900. Suzuki told me that if they strip the car and find out that the fault is caused by tear and wear, I will have to pay for cost of parts and repairs of +-R15 000 but if it is caused by a fault part, the would pay as the vehicle was still under warranty. At that moment I was shocked and took the vehicle but when I got to the office I remembered that I had pointed out the problem last year already. When I called them Mr Donaven Barens told me that the chances of it being a tear and wear are very slim and that I must bring the vehicle before I jeopardize my warranty. I had no choice but to allow them to strip the vehicle. Suzuki told told me that the problem was tear and wear but they were going to give me a good discount on parts and labour. Once again I had no choice since the vehicle was stripped. I was however shocked when I received the quotation. The total cost was R11 500 and they gave me discount of R364. Once I again I had not choice as I needed a vehicle to be fixed as I use it for my side hassle Uber business. I am single divorced mother with twin teenage girls at high school. They took the vehicle on the 26 October 2023 and collected the vehicle on 30 October 2023. After driving the vehicle for 3 days, I heard the noise again. I took the vehicle back to Suzuki. They told me that my tyres were worn out and my alignment was out. They swapped tyres back to front. Right away, I took the vehicle to Tiger wheel and tyre at century. Tiger Wheel and Tyres told me that there was nothing wrong with my alignment but I must just change my back trye. In the meantime, I had logged a complaint with the Motor Industry Ombudsman and anticipating that the Ombudsman would want to come inspect the vehicle( on my expense as they state on their forms). I was more shocked yesterday when I received a response from the ombudsman saying that my complaint falls outside the six-month imp**** warranty period(sic). The Ombudsman deliberately neglected to consider my 40 000KM warranty agreement with Suzuki. I find this disheartening for an organization that masquerade to act impartial. I believe that Suzuki sold me an old vehicle and the cost of repair should not be borne by me. I have had to seek expert advise and upon examining the invoice, he pointed out that Suzuki replaced an oil seal which was causing a bearing to run dry and it has damaged the gear box inside.
