MIOSA is a waste of your time and a defeat to the ends of justice

Got sold a code 3 vehicle from SA Motor Corporation / Driver 1 and WesBank. Found this out when trading it in less than 2 years later for an upgrade. I contacted MIOSA on May 26th, 2025. They called me a week later to say I should go the legal route because if the authenticity of the E-Natis certificate is in question, it is a ******** matter and they cannot assist. They were going to issue me with a closure letter. 2 weeks later, no letter. When I followed up, they then took on the case and contacted the dealership with no response to my enquiry for the letter or further discussions with me. The dealership responded on the 11th July. From the beginning, in between and to date, there has been nothing further. The agents are trained to tell you there is nothing you can do but wait "until your case is up for review" and "they will contact you if anything is needed". Probably placed about 12 calls with the same outcome. So I am driving an uninsured vehicle, financed *****ulently by WesBank who does nothing about it and the regulatory body assigned to take both the dealer and the finance house to task - does nothing. If they could do nothing a week in, if it is not within in their ambit if the matter is ******** - what am I waiting for from MIOSA? The reason that this underhanded dealing is so rife in the 2nd hand car market - as I have recently come to learn - is because MIOSA fosters it by its lack of action. The dealership gave me an ultimatum to trade in with them or "go to MIOSA". It is evident why there was no fear and it stands to reason they will continue to take advantage of the public who will suffer.
