MIOSA is a waste of time.

A most useless organization. I had issues with a company that overhauled the engine of my vehicle. Where after it was smoking badly and was told that it would disappear after 500 kms which it did not. Was also told that the injectors had to be replaced and the engine remapped. Took it to a diagnostician who disagreed completely and told the service company as such and to fix the engine properly. Took it back and nothing changed. Was also told that there was nothing he could do anymore. Moved to the Eastern Cape and the issues were resolved as far as smoking and fuel economy. The high pressure sensor which was replaced when the engine was reconditioned was faulty and there was an extra washer under the last injector. This is when I approached the MIOSA and sent all my documentation to Tshepo Moreriane and Rejoice Ngwenya. They rejected my case as I did not approached them before I had the vehicle repaired. Is MIOSA there to protect bad workmanship. Strange because when I told the owner of the Service Centre that I was approaching the ombudsman he told me that they wont do anything as they protect him. Strange. Also found out later that I was charged for lot of spares that was never replaced and they also had my vehicle panelbeat-ed. No wonder they took so long with the repairs.
