MIOSA is a joke

MIOSA - They have messed me around for almost two years. A car which I purchased for my son went up in flames about 9 hours after purchase. The dealer did not want to know anything about it and my insurance had not been activated yet.

After being referred to MIOSA by the Consumer Commission the case was ruled in my favor. The whole process took about 5 months. I was so happy.

A week later I got a call from Case Manager no 1 - Mr Luscious Bodibe, to say that a human error had been made and that we need to close the case and re-open it! Some paper work was overseen (I have yet to see copy of this!) which apparently changed the ruling. That was in September 2015. My case was then moved from one case manager to another, I called their offices every two weeks to try and follow up on all their empty promises. Eventually Mr Bodibe promised to personally take on the case himself, seeing that he had spoken to me personally. He did not keep his promise.

When I tried to contact him he was always in a meeting as are all the case managers! They seem to make themselves so too important to speak to the consumer. Its a disgrace.

I have since found out that MIOSA gets paid by the industry! Well that explains it all. The last case Manager, Mr Makatu decided that the Fire Brigade report was not a 'Technical Report' and closed the case! If i want to appeal I need to go back to the Consumer Commission, which is where I came from - its like chasing my own tail...

I am disgusted in the system.
