MIOSA INVESTIGATION ON JERAUTO DEALERSHIP

I lodged a complaint against JERAUTO CAR Dealership in March after the dealership failed to assist me with the car I have bought from them had a mechanical breakdown. MIOSA has been prolonging the investigation from March till the present day. They have been asking me to practice patience while waiting for them to finalize investigation. Its been six months since I have lodged the complaint with no direction while I am paying for the services that are not assisting my needs.

I bought a Car on the 14th September 2020 from JerAuto dealership in Springs Gauteng Province. I told the dealership I was buying a car for the first time so they could work with me. In December on the 28th evening I drove to Eastern Cape (Home), it would be the second time the car coming to Eastern Cape since I bought it. On the 29th in the morning while still on the Road between Cathcart and Sttutterheim it lost power, when I pulled out of the Road it gave out a white smoke from the exhaust. I then opened the bonnet to see what was the problem, I noticed oil spillage. I called my insurance for road assistance, they send a tow truck, we towed it to East London, Eastern Cape Motors. On arrival at Eastern Cape Motors before they can even open the bonnet and see the problem, they told me, "they will replace the engine, and it will cost me R100 000". I called the dealership (their salesman) to inform them of the situation, he told me "I was not suppose to take the vehicle there because they have their own Mechanics". He further told me "they're closed and they will open on the 4th January 2021". I then sent them an email so that they can attend to the matter as soon as they open. They didn't call me on the 4th, instead I called them after lunch and told them I have sent them an email on the 31st December 2020 concerning mechanical breakdown in the vehicle I bought from them three months back. Thay told me "they are looking for my file so they can send me a warranty policy number". It took them two months to provide me with warranty policy number so that I can give it to GRSA, because I have tried GRSA before to look for the policy under my name they couldn't find it. Last week of February, they (JerAuto) eventually send the Vaps number to me. I send it to Grsa, they authorized R7500 assistance for the quotation of R29 000, I then asked the dealership to pay the remaining R22 000, which they refused, saying I must fix my car. I then lodged the complaint to MIOSA.

I don't know what to do anymore because MIOSA is forever telling me to practice patience and I don't feel well mentally with the situation because I have struggling with a Pregnant woman throughout and now I am struggling with a two months new born baby, which when I bought a Car I was considering these circumstances.

Can you please assist Peter.
