DISGUSTING SERVICE FROM MIOSA
Tue, Feb 1 I registered my case with MIOSA, I was allocated Case Number 377821, and the Manager assigned to my case was KENNETH MAKATU. I then forwarded all supporting documents/evidence to MIHLOTI SHIPALANE - ***
Thu, Feb 3 you then sent communication to the dealership giving them 10 days to respond. On a number of occasions I followed up and there was no response, until I received an email on Mar 1, 2022 from Mihloti Shipalane informing me, Oops no, **** and defended the dealership and said that MIOSA is in position of the dealer’s response and needed some time to study both our submissions before a resolution can be made. I rep**** requesting a copy of the dealer's response, but I received nothing.
Tues, Mar 29, I laid a complaint with Hellopeter and guess what, on Wed, Mar 30 MIOSA remembered I have a case, they woke up and wrote to the dealership after contacting them telephonically, giving them 48 hours to respond. Today is Wed, Apr 13 and yet again, there is no progress or update.
Where I stand, I must say I do not trust they are giving my case the attention it deserves. There is no transparency in their process. They have provided me with conflicting information, one minute they have the dealership’s response, then the next minute they are requesting the same dealership they said responded to make a submission. How do I then trust that what they will provide as a resolution will be fair and without favor when they are protecting the same dealership?
Most of us consumers buy cars for daily use, but when faced with dishonest dealerships, I thought we are somewhat protected by the constitution and institutions like MIOSA. I guess I was wrong.
With all I have said, I have retracted my case and have asked them to cancel it. It is almost three months and with no update or progress. I have no hope in MIOSA and the CPA.
