Ambudsman case with Auto Xtreme Silverton

We purchased a vehicle from Auto Xtreme in Silverton Pretoria , due to the dealership selling us a vehicle that was in an accident and not disclosing this to us as well as engine issues and numerous other faults we approached the ambudsman on the 29th July 2020 . It is almost 4 months later and we have had no response except an email stating they are very busy

How does this make sense when we have laws that should protect the consumer , the very council that should take action is useless and they are not even bothered .
