Failure to respond to complaint

I posted on Hellopeter that Momentum Insurance failed to respond to my email about queries on my two Whole Life Policies. After my post on Hellopeter Momentum responded on 09 April 2021.Thereafter after many emails to & from Momentum, Momentum conceded that the policies were not Whole Life Policies but Universal Life policies despite them being clearly Labelled Whole Life Policies. These were Lifegro Whole Life policies purchased in 1976. They were converted by my broker in 1991 to Momentum Whole Life policies. Beside the many other problems with these policies Momentum now claim that my Lifegro policies were cancelled not converted without supplying any proof. The Long Term Ombudsman was copied in all emails to & from Momentum. On 29 April 2021 the ombudsman emailed as ffl:- “I refer to previous correspondence. I have taken note of Ms ****** response to you dated 29.4.2021. As confirmed, I wish to evaluate and discuss this matter further with the Ombudsman, Judge. In order to do so, all submissions must be complete and no further correspondence must be exchanged between you and the insurer directly. Please confirm if any further submissions are to be made before I proceed.”

On 30 April 2021 I rep**** accepting their offer to assist me. Thereafter, I emailed them more information but they failed to reply despite informing me that they assist with the problems. I posted a complaint on the Long Term Ombudsman’s website & they rep**** on 04 October 2021 they supp**** me with a case no. *** & noted the ffl:-

• Any further comment or information which you send to us will be sent to the insurer to give it an opportunity to reply. • In fairness to the parties we give each of them an opportunity to fully state its case and we do not take into account any comment or information supp**** by a party, unless the other party has had an opportunity to respond.

On 14 October 2021 I rep**** as ffl:-

“Thank you for your email. Trust that you are well. I do not want my prescription period to expire. I need to take other action if I am not satisfied with the Ombudsman's ruling.”

They rep**** as ffl:-

“Thank you, noted.”

Since then I emailed a few times but they have failed to respond. It is obvious that they are afraid to take action against Momentum & therefore stalled me from taking action against Momentum. It is well known that a Whole Life Policy is completely different to that of a Universal Life. Momentum has been ********** as they know that the policies are not Whole Life policies, as they have confirmed same, but Universal Life policies yet labelled them as Whole Life policies. This to mislead the investor / common man. Although the recent interviews for the next Chief Justice were marred by many issues but one very good thing did come out of the interviews. That is that there is a need for transformation in the judicial system. Transformation whereby the common man as easy access to the courts. The last chief justice is on record noting that until all, not only the rich, big business & people in high places, get equal justice, we will not be free. The problem is that no matter how strong evidence / case one has, they do not take your input into account. If one is not happy with their ruling then one needs to go to the high court to have their findings reviewed which is impossible for the common man. This they are aware of & take advantage of & therefore find in favor of the service provider. There is a possibility that they are captured by Big Business. The only regulator that is not afraid of big business is the Competition Commission. If institutes that supposed to protect the public fail to do so then the common man has no chance of equal justice. Now that I have complained about their incompetence to assist me they will definitely find against me
