TWO CASES OF ***** IN A MATTER OF 3 MONTHS
my name is Priscilla pillay and I have a cheque account with Nedbank Johannesburg. on the 25th July 2019, R1000 was withdrawn from my account at an atm in Rivonia Johannesburg. I received an sms of this. I went into the branch lodged a ***** case, cancelled my card and my monies were returned after 1 month. on the 25th October 2019, R1000 was withdrawn from my account at an atm in Louis Botha Johannesburg. again I received an sms of this transcation. I again went to the branch and lodged another ***** case and cancelled the card. on the 28th October 2019, I called the ***** department and after speaking to the forth consultant I asked for someone to call me back. no one called. I then went into the branch on the 2nd November 2019 to follow up. I asked to speak to the manager Marlenie, she was busy on a call. I left a message for her to call me, she did. I explained everything to her. she promised she will call me back on Monday 4/11/19 with feedback however no call received the entire day. I called her just before 4pm, no answer. she then called me back to give feedback saying that she called ***** line and they said they will have to follow the investigation process. I her I was going to close my account and put an article on every social media network to which she responded I must do what I need to do .whilst I was speaking to her the call disconnected and she did not call me back. after about 30 minutes I received a call from some male(cannot remember his name) to tell me that the investigation process takes up to 21 days which is part of the SLA and there is nothing that can be done about it. must I now prepare for money being withdrawn from my account every month when I get paid. why does the bank not re look at their security measures rather than worry about their SLA with regards to *****. what measures does the bank have in place for incidents like this. I pay the bank to look after my money but this is not the case. this has happened to me twice in 3 months and I am supposed to wait until the investigation process is completed. this is totally unfair and unacceptable.
