Ombudsman = Om jou tyd te mors

Why is there a banking ombudsman? I am sure the banks pay their salaries. I complain to the ombudsman regarding FNB home loans. I bought a house through FNB before I moved in they sent out their assessor to evaluate and inspect the property that they will give me a loan on after the inspection I was told that I must ensure the property for replacement value that is more than double the market value? I did so on the bank's inspection less than two months after I moved into the property we had a major storm and the roof started leaking. With future inspection by a structural engineer, the property the bank's assessor inspected had no legal building plans for the alterations and the roof structure was condemned by the engineer. I then went back to the bank that blatantly reduced to do anything about it as they would take no responsibility for anything. My question then to the ombudsman was how can the bank finance ******* structure and condemned structures and take no responsibility for them. It against the law to have structures build without plans. The Ombudsman just agreed with the bank and told me I must go and seek further legal advice. Don't waste your time going to the ombudsman it is just one big bogus organisation that make the banks look good
