Getting Paid for Doing Absolutely Nothing

I submitted my Complaint to the BANKING OMBUDSMAN on March 2015 regarding the issues I raised concerning the conduct of a certain bank.

They have literally “Thrown Me under the Bus” after more than two years of “DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING” in handling my matter.

The Complaints Department undertook in October 2016 to reappoint another case manager to investigate my matter, but it never happened.

However it has now altogether been more than (2) years and I’m still none the wiser.

I’m so appalled by the bad service I received from them thus far.

For the last six (6) months I’ve been trying to get proper feedback from them.

I’m still waiting ,after an innumerate amount of phone calls and e-mails.

I eventually escalated my complaint to the National Consumer Commission and numerous other bodies and subsequently spoke to a multitude of people ET Nausea relating the whole story each time to all and sundry.

These parties all concurred that it goes totally against the grain of what great client service and good governance is all about and that this behaviour by BANKING OMBUDSMAN staff leaves much to be desired.

I was essentially encouraged to consult with an attorney, in order to sue the BANKING OMBUDSMAN.

We are now at a position, where you have to pay an attorney in order to compel a Section 29 organisation to do their work?

I have been severely prejudiced in the process and the internal bungling is simply being swept under the carpet.

I have to start all over again by myself, losing more than (2) years in the process, without any consequence to the offending consultants in question.

Basically you are just being sent from pillar to post when you call the Call Centre and at the end you are none the wiser.

To this day not a single senior manager has even responded whatsoever; with no apology and/or explanation with regard to the wayward behaviour of their consultants.

I shudder to think of the many other BANKING OMBUDSMAN clients whom might be facing the same ordeal, but perhaps don’t have the fortitude and/or resources to pursue their grievances.

This issue smacks of incompetence and invariably leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

I feel I have no other alternative to bring this unsatisfactory conduct to the Senior Management’s attention and expose the conduct of certain employees.
