Does the Banking Ombudsman Exist?

Two weeks ago I emailed the banking ombudsman asking to resolve an issue between myself and ABSA. I received no acknowledgment of my email or a reply to date. In contrast the insurance ombudsman's email was acknowledged immediately and the issue was resolve timorously.
