****ty insurance
I lost my iPhone 13 Pro which is insured for R30k end of May and I got a replacement of iPhone 14 Pro on the 10th of June. On the 17th I sent them an email informing them that the battery is not right it finishes fast and takes long to get full. The device was collected. It came back on the 2nd of July and they said it was NFF, upon arrival I used the phone to call the agent who was helping me Tshepang and I told him that the battery is still giving problems and he booked for it to be collected the next day. On the recording Tshepang advised me that he sent an email to manager to requesting that I get provided with a new phone.
It was again delivered on July 10th and I did not accept it as it was the same phone and not the new phone as promised by Tshepang. When I call I could not get through to Tshepang and I spoke with a very rude arrogant agent by the name of Tshepo who is supposedly the Tshepang’s senior. This guy literally told me there is nothing they can do and they cannot give me a new phone or give back all my premiums from July 2022 he said when I get the phone back I can do whatever I want to do I can even take it to istore for another assessment.
I complained to the other level Old Mutual complaints department and I was assisted by Muhammad who was as rude as Tshepo. He kept on saying “ma’am if you are not happy you can speak with the internal arbitrator their email address is on the email I sent to you”
This is the worst insurance company ever and they do not even update you you must always call them and if you do not know the name of the person helping you, you will speak with the whole call center and they are asking the same thing. This company must just close as they do not deserve loyal customers like us
Firstly I told them that I am not happy with the replacement device as iPhone 14Pro is nowhere close to R30k and I was told it’s R28k and now the phone they gave me is giving me problems.
