Telkom Insurance ****

Paying insurance for over 2 years, 1st claim because speaker and microphone crackling on my iphone 11, after waiting more than a month for the claim to get approved they ask for a excess of R2250. What is the point of the insurance if I'm still going to have to pay in the end.
